Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage - Best Concealer Ever?

Hi everyone! Welcome to the blog! I'm new to beauty blogging but I'm certainly not new to makeup! As a South Asian woman, I feel like there is a gaping hole in the blogosphere about beauty that is relevant to darker Indian skin tones (I'm an NC 44-45 for reference), and because I love reading other beauty blogs I wanted to start one too!

First up on the chopping block is this concealer, Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage Concealer in SC-6 (the darkest shade).

This concealer is unlike any I've every tried before. I bought it on recommendation from Sandra's blog, "15 steps and then a beauty" (5andrablogs.blogspot.com) (one of my faves!).

I love the fact that this is a duo concealer as it means I can customize my shade. The lighter colour is perfect for under eye circles because its salmon tone cancels the purple/blue circles that plagues many Indian women.

The texture is very dry but what makes this great is that it has superb coverage and will not budge!! I've definitely worn this concealer on its own without foundation and I find it has a beautiful natural finish. I find the best way to apply it is by warming it up with your fingers (clean of course).

Although at $26 it is pricey, the amount of product and the quality definitely justifies the price! Try this out and let me know what you think!

  1. I contemplated getting this concealer but we don't have laura mercier where I'm from.. So that was outta the question.. I'm still looking for the perfect under eye concealer.. I'm currently using Mac Studio Finish which I wrote a review on.. It's great for hiding them nasty acne scars..

  2. Thank you so much! You totally made my day! Do you have a Sephora where you're from? That's where I got the LM concealer. If it makes you feel better, I don't have access to Illamasqua :( Definitely want to check some of those blushes out! I was reading your blog and it's great! Love the reviews! They're very clear and concise!
